New

Here is a new poem for your new year!

Waking up to a new day,
Brand new things to hear and say,
New things to learn, new things to do,
Brand new sorrows, and new joys too.

New gifts to give, new hope to find,
New chances to serve or just be kind,
New friends to make, new blessings to count,
New gospel messages to shout.

New treasures to find, new things to create,
New chances we have, to truly be great.
New changes and skills new people to love,
New inspiration will come from above.

All these new things we have this new year,
A change to start over, so erase your fear,
Step forward with hope, and faith and a prayer,
There's always a way that God is willing to share.

This new year I hope we all can step out of our comfort zones to be awesome as do something great. Remember you age, size, or looks don't matter. You are a child of God and you can do the impossible.

December 26th

What happens after Christmas
When everyone's asleep?
The day has come, and it has gone.
Now silent, not a peep.

With rush and a woop!
Christmas came, and it went.
It's all over and done.
Gifts bought and gifts sent.

We spend months anticipating
December 25th,
Only to find its followed
By December 26th!

Now what? We ask ourselves.
Do we just wait around
Waiting for the next Christmas
To again be found?

What about the Feelings
Of joy and love and peace?
We worked much to hard
For it to go to waste!

No, I believe that spirit
Of Christmas can still stay!
As long as we give love
It's with us everyday.

Yes-it must be Christmas

Merry Christmas hohoho,
Don't ask me where is the snow,
Wrap up the presents don't you know,
Yes-it must be Christmas

I can hear- bells are ringing,
I'm in the choirs that are singing,
From the cold my fingers tingling,
Yes-it must be Christmas

Get a blanket, cuddle up,
Sip hot chocolate from this cup,
Of candy I have had enough,
Yes-it must be Christmas,

The snow is falling white and clean,
The children sit on fathers knee,
While stories are told of the birth of a King,
Yes-it must be Christmas

Mary and Joseph with their baby king,
Angles told Shepard's to make tidings ring,
3 wise men follow the star-gifts they bring,
Yes-it must be Christmas

She laid him wrapped in swaddling clothes,
I wonder "Mary did you know?"
Did you remember as Jesus grows?
Yes-it must be Chistmas

We should remember this Christmas season,
The reason for, this special season,
As even if it's odd or even,
I do believe it's Christmas :)

What was it like?

What was it like
To come to the earth
As Savior and King
Of infinite worth?

What was it like
To leave the divine
Arrive in a stable
Near horses and swine?

What was it like
To leave power behind
And come in the form
Of one helpless and blind?

What was it like
To leave resplendence
And come to a place
Full of hate and offense?

What was it like
To become so small
Yet have purpose so big
And descend below all?

What was it like
Dear Lord, God's own son?
Why did you do it?
What was the reason?

If you look in the eyes
Of the baby so fair
If you find Him through faith
You'll see what is there.

The answer is simple.
He came down from above
For this small, yet big word
 His infinite LOVE.

Being Sick :P

My head hurts my back aches,
My nose is running everywhere!
My eyes sting, my ears ring,
I'm late and I don't really care,

My feet are cold, my head is hot,
My throat feels worse then anything,
My cough is horse, I cannot breath!
I can't talk, let alone sing!!

Swallowing hurts really bad,
My hair is tangled up in knots,
No position is comfortable,
Not being sick? It really rocks!

My bed is awful, so is the couch,
I don't want to watch a movie,
Don't make me talk or yell or shout!
Music doesn't help me feel groovy,

When will I feel how I used to feel?
When will this horrible stuff go away?
When will my throat go back to normal,
The only comfort now, is to pray.

Hope in the Haze

The world is full of grief and pain
Full of seen and unseen chains.

People walk in clouds of doubt
Not knowing what life is about.

So much worry, too much stress.
Many walk around depressed.

Tears keep falling like the rain,
It seems like all our hope is vein.

We all have questions, we all ask,
Why is life such a hard task?

Let me give it to you strait.
Yes, life is full of ugly hate.

But without dark, there is no light.
There is no win without a fight.

There  is no joy without the pain
There is no pure without the stain.

There is no faith without the fear.
There's no true smiles without tears.

Yes, we have those gloomy days,
But remember in the haze,

When life seems to go all wrong,
Keep the faith, and come out strong!

Sing, sing, sing!

I know a lot of you have heard this :D It is actually a song, but songs can be read as poems-right? I hope you enjoy it!!

There's a song in this world,
Listen now and you'll hear,
A song that's being sung,
Full of smiles and tears!

For we all have a part to play,
So bring bring bring!
Bring everyone to do their part,
Let's sing, sing, sing, sing!

There are many different lines,
Being sung by others,
Try to find your part,
Next to sisters and brothers.

For we all have a part to play,
So bring bring bring!
Bring everyone to do their part,
Let's sing, sing, sing, sing!

Remember no one is perfect,
We might mess up some times,
Repent and forget get back in tune,
And keep on singing your lines.

Everybody now! Sing it out loud!
Your part is a important,
As everyone else,
So open up! Sing it now!!
Don't forget to sing sing sing!
While your at it, bring bring bring,
Everyone! To sing! Sing! Sing!.

For we all have a part to play,
So bring bring bring!
Bring everyone to do their part,
Let's sing, sing, sing, sing!

Some sing high,
And some sing low,
It doesn't really matter,
Just sing as you go!

For we all have a part to play,
So bring bring bring!
Bring everyone to do their part,
Let's sing, sing, sing, sing!

Don't let the good parts
Leave your song,
Let the spirit guide,
And sing along!

For we all have a part to play,
So bring bring bring!
Bring everyone to do their part,
Let's sing, sing, sing, sing!

For a Friend

I just wanted to thank my amazing friend Dassia for the example and friend she's been to me. Her rasillience and love for the gospel can't help but touch the lives of everyone she meets. :)

Colorful, shining, happy friend.
I've never heard her once offend.

Good example, always kind.
Friends like these are hard to find.

Her potential, fully living.
Super sweet and always giving.

Humble servant of the Lord.
Dear to all, frankly adored.

Seeking truth and doing right.
A beacon of the brightest light.

A loving heart, a smiling face
A being of God's cleansing grace.

An open mind and willing hands.
Accomplishing the Lords commands.

Beautiful friend, I want you to
Know that I, a friend, love you!

Heavens Key

Do your duty,
Keep doing your best,
Don't be lazy,
Don't settle for less.

Keep working hard,
Don't stop for one thing.
Follow the rules,
Or regret will sting

Do after don't.
And law after law.
Warning, beware,
Do not make one flaw.

What is all this?
The expectation
Is so unreal!
Just regulation!

It seems boring,
To live in this way.
Of working hard?
Where's the pay?

But wait a sec,
I need to step out
Of the box
Of pure selfish doubt.

Where is the faith?
Where is the hope?
I need to trust
Instead of mope.

I will go try
To do what is right.
Gods promises
I trust will bring light.

As I show love
Through obedience,
I find out that work
Actually makes sense!

Living the way
The Lord wants me to
Brings fulfillment
In all that I do.

The true gospel,
If lived righteously,
Brings peace and joy.
It is heavens key.

Remember

I fold my arms, I bow my head,
Remembering as the prayer is said.
I think of the atoning one,
Who gave His life, out Father's Son.

The bread is passed, I remember when,
With very little, five thousand were fed!
And then with children on His knee,
I think of Him now blessing me.

A prayer is said once again,
And I can picture His mothers head,
Bowing down with tearful eyes,
Saying "Father, through Thee I will arise."

The water now I drink each drop,
The living waters will never stop,
And if I choose to follow Him,
I can conquer any sin.

I fold my arms, I bow my head,
Remembering this prayer in my head,
"I will watch, for the day you come,"
Thank you for all Thou hast done."

The Search

A bunch of little people
All going around,
Wanting,wishing, hoping,
That something will be found.

Reaching high, and reaching low,
Grasping at the air.
Never really reaching
The thing they think is there.

Some think that they will find it
In the way they dress.
They do so many things
To look good and impress.

Some think that they will find it
In the way they talk.
They back bite and gossip,
They ridicule and mock.

Some think that they will find it
Just in selfish thoughts.
Worried always about
All they haven't got.

These bunch of little people
All go their own ways,
Wanting other people
To give them what they crave.

They don't seem to realize
That others are stuck
Inside their own bubble
Of sad narcissistic muck.

Oh people, look around you!
You don't need to look
In all of the wrong places
In sinful shelves and nooks.

To find what you wish for,
You just have to climb
Right out of your bubble
Of all self absorbed time,

You must GIVE and not worry
About what you get
Just serve and love others
And forgive and forget.

You don't need to keep stressing,
You don't need to find
That something already
Is engrained deep inside.

It is found when your selfless
It's found when you love
It's found when your living
For the One up above.

In the Autumn Twilight

Walking, and thinking
In the autumn twilight,
While through the soft clouds
The moon shines so bright.

Breathing the crisp air,
I stop and just listen
As the fading glow,
Of the streets glisten.

The breeze rushes past
Rustling all of the trees.
I hear the nice crunch
As I step on leaves.

Looking at the sky,
I see the star filled night.
Glowing, gleaming, bright
Like pinpricks of light

The moon seems to tell
All the starts seem to sing.
The trees seem to be
Softly whispering.

They all seem to try
To show and remind me
Of something beyond
Somewhere, somebody.

Creation itself
Emulates the love
Of The creator
Who lives up above.

It all seems as though
Nature puts and resets
Me back to focus
To see, grasp, and get.

To see clear again
And gladly recognize
All the joy within
Blessings in disguise.

Rap

I just found this poem in our drafts, I'm guessing it was written by Pack. :P Enjoy!

I have some friends,
They have ODDS and ends,
And they like to eat,
And they should have more sleep.

One day we all went to camp,
Our shoes got very damp,
John remembered to bring his pants,
When he went to the dance. (Good thing too)

So then we all had fun,
And made a lot of puns,
The food was amazing,
As we went star gazing.

We didn't go to bed,
So we were all mostly dead,
Then Jordan was wed,
To his hair that is red.

Don't ask me why,
I am feeling so high,
And before you die,
I'll say good bye

Gone

When I past you in the street,
It's you I don't recognize,
When I wave and say hello,
It feels like your like desensitized.

And I miss the old you,
The friend I used to know,
The way you used to be,
And it just goes to show,

That people change for good,
But they also change for bad,
And I miss the old you,
I wish you'd come back.

I hardly ever see you now,
The way you act is different,
I nod and smile-you walk right by,
It's true, you seem so distant.

I watch the way to talk to others,
Showing off your new stuff,
I miss the friend I used to know,
Who always had enough.

Where did you go,
I wish you'd see,
The person that
You used to be!
I miss you lots,
It hurts so much,
You left so fast,
Left me in the dust.

And now I don't know who you are,
And I fear you might not come back,
I don't know what happened or changed,
What got you off this track?

So I say goodbye to the old you,
To the one who is now gone,
Who I thought wouldn't leave me now,
To you I say....So long.

Joy vs Sorrow

Sorrows are to forget,
Joys are to remember,
Let go of your sorrows,
Hold on to your joys forever.

Write each and every joy down,
Keep track of them with smiles,
Remember memories and love,
It will be worth your while.

Although its good to remember joys,
Sorrows are important too,
Without the sadness in our lives,
We could not balance what we do!

So let us count our sorrows,
But let us throw them right away,
We don't need to hold on to them,
Or remember sad things that happened that day.

But hold on to your joys!
Keep the balance there!
And by thinking of sorrows,
The more you recognize joys here.

Joy and Sorrow

Catch the moment, catch the dream.

Hey everyone! I was goin through my phone and I found a few poems that I thought I should post. My last few posts have been the ones I found!

We're only here for a short while,
There isn't time for everything,
Close your eyes and feel the light,
Catch the moment, catch the dream.

Friends are there to help you fly
Close your eyes and spread your wings,
No one can ever do it for you,
Catch the moment, catch the dream.

People come as inspiration,
To give your eye that special gleam,
Listen to the voice so still,
Catch the moment, catch the dream.

Find your inner hope and mission,
It might be harder then it seems,
But with Gods help you can do it,
Catch the moment, catch the dream.

Time flys by, don't miss the day,
Thoughts come in, what do they mean?
True friends lead you on your journey,
Catch the moment, catch the dream.

Keep your standards flying tall,
Keep your smile to a beam,
Stand in only holy places,
Catch the moment, catch the dream.

Happy birthday, for a friend :)

A friend like me,
Needs a friend like you,
For the things we see,
And the things we do.
We'll work together,
And we'll understand,
That we, forever,
Can always stand :)

Thank you for everything,
That you inspire,
From poetry to camping,
Sitting 'round the fire.
From piano to plays,
And eating our dinner,
And all the birthdays,
We are the winners!

You show me all,
The possibilities,
That I could learn from,
And fulfill my dreams.
Your the best,
That I could ask for,
I love you lots,
I'd never want more.

Never forget,
Who you are,
You are special,
You are a star.
So thanks again,
And now I'll say,
Have a very,
Happy birthday!

Change

Time is turning.
Leaves are changing.
Souls are yearning.
Thoughts are ranging.

Things transforming
All around me.
Newness forming
A grand beauty.

The outside world
Seems to reflect
Feelings unfurled
And intelect.

Colors are bright
Red, orange, gold.
Early twilight
Year's getting old.

The crisp fall breeze
Freshens my my mind.
The change, with ease
Makes thoughts aligned.

The year is turning
And so am I
As I'm learning
Impressions fly.

Change in seasons
Change of heart
Change in reason
Change is art.

Failing Failure

What is my worst fear?
Can I tell you my friend?
Its failing the part,
That I should have been.

It failing to answer,
The only right question,
Its failing obedience,
Or another lesson.

Have you ever felt,
Unsure in suspense,
Questioning many
Decisions and friends?

Have you ever questioned,
Which thing should come next,
Which road to take,
Whats 'round that bend...
I'm spinning in circles,
I'm out of control,
I'm getting confused,
In the worlds big roll.

In life's giant menu,
What should I pick?
What is the best for me
What won't I regret...

I'm lost and lonely,
Where did everyone go?
Which direction is best?
Does anyone know...

This feeling of empty,
Is so hard to place,
Christ, our Older Brother,
The only escape.
Some might not feel worthy,
To pray for God's help,
But you'll always be welcome,
Repent for heavens wealth.

Go quickly now,
Towards the light,
Christ's open arms,
Are now in sight.
He loves you,
An so do others,
Family waiting,
Your sisters and brothers.

It's worth it, hold on!
Don't give up, they shout,
They love you a lot,
And know what its about.

Hugs and kisses,
Jubilation and more,
Those are the things,
That God has in store.

Life isn't easy,
Not even close,
But we can find the way,
Through the Holy Ghost!

We are all capable,
Of many many things,
Just smile, be ready,
To fly, spread your wings!

He comforts and blesses,
His hands will restore,
He loves all His children,
He wants for them more!

So when the dark gets you,
And you feel some bland,
Don't be so unsure,
Reach out-take His hand

Fall time!

Twisting, turning, telling how,
Just exactly it fell down,
Orange, brown but never green,
What a sight, I've never seen

Flitting, fluttering, falling down,
Not exactly touching ground.
Crunching, crackling crushed by feet,
Isn't fall time such a treat.

Rolling, reaching, resting now,
Piling leaves upon the ground,
Colored piles at my feet,
Apple cider is my drink!

Standing tall or sitting short,
Picking pumpkins, what a sport!
Try to find the bestest one,
Even if it weighs a ton!

Looking, listening, we're not lost!
Where's the map and whose the boss?
Going in circles, there's the end!
Come one come all! Come family and friend!

Smiling, sliding, standing strait,
Right beside the garden gate,
Wish he had a brain or two,
Scare-crow friends are welcome too.

Climbing, cautious, carefully!
Sitting high on hay-stacked seats,
Singing songs along the way,
Hayride smiles to end the day.

Memories!

People come and go,
As we learn from them each day,
And something I have learned is that,
True friends will always stay!

When we need them,
They will be there,
They always show,
How much they care.
They teach us truth,
And remember things,
That we did together,
And always remember,
The memories.

Giving gifts and learning,
Smile cause we're free
Showing of our love,
For my friends and friends to be.

Remembering the past,
Looking forward for things to come,
Giving hope and encouragement,
For a job that's been well done.

When we need them,
The will be there!
They always show...
How much they care.
They teach us truth and,
Remember things,
That we did together,
We'll always remember,
The memories.

Who knows just what will happen,
When our ways will finally part,
They may not be right next to me,
But they'll stay here in my heart!

So thank you my friend,
For all we have been through,
For your shining example,
I will always remember you.

When you need me,
I will be there!
I'll try to show...
How much I care.
You teach me truth and,
We'll remember things,
That we did together,
And we'll always remember,
The memories.

Thank you for all,
The memories,
The memories,
Our memories!!!!

What makes a ripple?

What makes the ripple,
Circle out and never stop?
What makes the sunshine,
Glitter off a water drop?

What makes the water,
So sparkling, crystal clear,
What makes the pond,
So still, not a tear.

What makes the river,
Never stop it's moving?
What makes the ocean,
So big and fascinating?

What makes the rain,
So heavy, yet so light,
What makes the rainbow,
That can't be seen at night?

What are like the ripples,
In our life's that don't quite flow,
What do we drop in the world,
That goes and goes and goes?

What happens when we drop,
An unkind word or deed,
What happens if we change,
Kindness to our simple creed?

What if we inspired,
Good things by our ripples,
And they spread out so quickly,
In doubles or in triples.

Then the world would be sent,
Good things in lots of ways,
We would love all those around,
And show it each and every day.

A Mother's Love

It's my Mom's Birthday today, so here's to her!

Looking in their eyes
I can see a love so pure.
A little glimpse of heaven.
So hopeful, bright and sure.

I feel unworthy of this love
Devotion so unfeigned.
I'm an imperfect women,
I'm still often pained.

This responsibility
Is not an easy load
I seek strength beyond my own
And power is bestowed.

Teaching, loving, all I can.
Sincerely I do pray
For my children, all of them,
Each and every day.

The new moment's mysteries
Are filled with joy and fear.
Sadness, doubt, kindness and care
Service, virtue, hope, and tears.

All within this home I keep
These experiences come.
As family, we fall and get up
And each new thing, learn from.

I try to put God first always
I seek Christ's perfect grace
Helping lead our family
To our celestial place.

I hope someday, they can look down
Into my yes and see
That piece of heaven shining bright
And say: "Mother loves me."

God Loves Broken Things

Why is it the cold hard truth
That human beings break?
Why is it us that Satan tries
So desperately to take?

If we're supposed to be elite,
Why do we fail at all?
If God wants us to become great,
Why does he let us fall?

We may question, what, why, how?
In truth, the answer lies
In the fact the God does know
The fallen can arise.

Our Savior loves each of us.
He still loves the darkened.
He even loves the ones who have
Left, and have not hearkened.

He loves the ones who have been
Soaked by all the rain,
And are there in cloudy doubt
And there, think they remain.

Our Savior can use and make
The weak become secure.
God can help the heartbroken,
And peace and love insure.

God can mend the hurting souls,
To make beauty divine.
He can use broken pieces
And make them all align.

But when those deluded ones
Come humbled, seeking love,
With hearts opened unto His will
He'll reach down from above.

If you come unto Him seeking
Though before you were impure,
He'll heal your sorrow even though
Your hope was so unsure.

God doesn't make mistakes

We are all here for a reason,
We were all meant to be,
We all have a mission,
And a certain way we see.
We were all meant for power,
We were all meant to choose,
We all need a Savior,
So repentance we can use.

But God, always has a plan,
We may not be perfect but He did create,
Each one of us, and don't forget,
That God, doesn't make mistakes.

We learn from hardships and trials,
We grow from heartache and sin,
We help each other get closer to Christ,
This battle we will win.
We all need a push sometimes,
A nudge in the right direction,
We all need a little laugh,
To lighten up the situation.

But God, always has a plan,
We may not be perfect but He did create,
Each one of us, and don't forget,
That God, doesn't make mistakes.

We each have a life to lead,
But each one is different,
We each have some things we need,
Have faith and be confident,
There's times where we're needed
There's talents we can use,
There's light we can bring,
We just have to choose!

But God, always has a plan,
We may not be perfect but He did create,
Each one of us, and don't forget,
That God, doesn't make mistakes.

We each have felt down hearted,
We might feel like a failure,
Or try to keep things up,
Then wish that we did better.
One person can't do everything,
So please, please don't try,
Keep it sweet and simple,
Wipe that tear from your eye!

But God, always has a plan,
We may not be perfect but He did create,
Each one of us, and don't forget,
That God, doesn't make mistakes.

Tactics

Doubt and fear
Distrust and tears
Resisting Love
That's all too near.

The kind of walls
That close right in.
The kind of path
That leads to sin.

So close that you
Can almost touch
But reaching out
Is just too much.

These are tactics
Of the dark
Whispering, trying
To leave it's mark.

Then what do you do
When you're being attacked?
And it feels like they're
Forcing you not to fight back?

Remember the light
Use that as your strength
For some have paid prices
And went to great length,

To keep it alive
To keep the flame burning
It's warmth is right there
Patiently yearning.

It wants you to turn
And follow it home
The light wont forsake you
Or leave you alone.

Comfort, peace,
Music, and love.
Friendship and prayer
All from above.

These tactics of light
Are stronger than all
Take hold of those truths
And you're sure not to fall.

Wishing Storm

Gray skies, dark clouds
Rain is falling all around.
Heavy hearts, gloomy thoughts.
Are there answers to be found?

Tears fall, like rain
Thunder echoes all the pain
Storms outside are inside too
I hope we pick the proper lane!

Forks in the road, everywhere
Idea's and doubts swarm the air
Foggy feelings, boggy brain
Which direction? Who, what where?

I guess the rainbows come
When the rain and sun
Mix to make the perfect
Combination!

Everyone wants happiness,
No-one wants pain
But you can't have a rainbow
Without a little rain!

Big as Sky.

I wrote this as a song. Hope you enjoy!

Throwing pebbles in the lake
The wind is strong, my soul's awake
Feeling free like I could make
A dream as as big as sky.

Then you have those time when you
Crash in mud and you feel so blue
And your heart is cracking right in two
And all you ask is why.

*We all have days where we soar
We all have times when we hit the floor
Ups and downs, some less and more
Dreams crushed, and dreams sky high.
 We must remember even though
Life can be high, but also low
And things just toss you to and fro
Keep dreaming dreams sky high.

Running round, and climbing trees
Laughing as you play and tease
You're singing carries through the breeze
Your dreams as big as sky.

Then your ice cream fall and melts
Or your words just can't be spelt
And it seems that sad is all you've felt
And you just want to cry.

*We all have days where we soar
We all have times when we hit the floor
Ups and downs, some less and more
Dreams crushed, and dreams sky high.
 We must remember even though
Life can be high, but also low
And things just toss you to and fro
Keep dreaming dreams sky high.

Laying in the grassy greens
Everything is grand it seems
You keep wishing on your dreams
You feel as big as sky

But then those tears come to your eyes
And your life seems made of lies
But that dream as big as sky
Keeps your hope alive

And you remember now:
*We all have days where we soar
We all have times when we hit the floor
Ups and downs, some less and more
Dreams crushed, and dreams sky high.
 We must remember even though
Life can be high, but also low
And things just toss you to and fro
Keep dreaming dreams sky high.

So Strange

I will not go to bed!
I stubbornly refuse!
Don't dare try to make me,
You'll just set off my fuse!

I'll just stay up reading.
Won't let you turn lights off.
I'll protest, you know it!
I'm not afraid to skoff.

10-ish hours later:

Please don't make me get up!
My bed's so cozy-warm!
The pillow over head
Signals a whiny storm.

You don't want to mess with
A person who must soon
Face the horrid fate
Of going out the room.

Few minuets later:

I can't wait for breakfast!
It better be made soon!
I can already taste
The flavors on my spoon!

Hurry up already!
I'm practically starved!
I'm sure to waste away,
If soon it it isn't served.

Few minuets later:

Eeeew! What is this stuff?
I surely can't eat this!
I'm actually not hungry.
This all is just a mess!

It looks like a monkey
Did something on my plate
And decorated it,
With pure disgust and fate!

Couple hours later:

Aaaargh! I hate my chores!
I will not clean my room!
I'm practically a slave!
(Don't tell I hid the broom).

No body even cares
That all I do is work
I can't wait for my free time!
I say, as I just shirk.

Few hours later:

Finally I am free!
I've done my chores and skills,
But I'm starting to think
I wish there was "Bored pills".

For I'm so very bored!
I don't know what do do.
I slump around the house,
Not having any clue.

Few minutes later:

Then I start to wonder
At all my foolishness.
Why don't I ever just
Make up my mind of this?

What DO I really want?
I see a need for change.
It all just makes me think
Human beings are so strange.

Fly!

Do you ever have that feeling
When you look up at the stars,
And you wonder how many galaxies
Are up there just like ours?

Do you ever have that feeling
When you walk in forests green
And you wonder at creation
All the seen and never seen?

Do you ever have that feeling
When you look in a friends eyes
As you wonder at the strength
Of hope and loving ties?

Do you ever have that feeling
When all is still and soft
And the quietness and peace
Lifts your soul aloft?

Do you ever have that feeling
When you're having fun
And your laughter echo's on
Like a rolling song?

Do you ever have that feeling
Surrounded by all those
Who love you no matter what
And the love just grows?

That feeling's from inside the soul
It fills you right up high
Don't waste the opportunity
To take it up and fly.

A Ride of Realization.

This is what I call a fuzzy poem. :) Its kind of different and strange, and sort of a nonsense poem, but I think when you think about it and take it to heart, you can find your own meaning in it.
Hope you enjoy!

My head turns like a fareswheel,
I can't seem to tell what's real.
What is the recipe
To a strong willed soul?

Life is just a rollercoaster
Going far, or coming closer.
Where will it all take me?
I'm sure I don't know.

* Rushing through the crouds
My mind is in the clouds.
Happiness can seem thin
The world tells me so.

Time keeps flying, never stopping
Sort of like my thoughts are popping.
What am I to do or say?
What is friend or foe?

Is truth just a merry go round?
Circling and hopeless sounds?
Magic never seemed so fake
And yet so real and slow.

 *Rushing through the crouds
My mind is in the clouds.
Happiness can seem so thin
The world tells me so.

At the peak of desperation
To find the track of consolation.
The ride of realization
Came easy some how.

Truth lights up the road to peace
And love will make all your fear cease.
If you take time to get free
From all sin and sorrow.

*Rushing through the crouds
My mind is in the clouds.
Happiness can always win
As long as you still know.

We are all enlisted!

  1. We are all enlisted,
For our truth and the right!
And so very Happy are we!

    Soldiers in the army,
    For our future is bright!
And so very happy are we!

    Fighting as an army,
With our friends at our side!
Come friends, come join the ranks!
  2. We are waiting now for soldiers,
    By the rules to abide,
Come friends, come join the ranks,

    Listen! Captain calls today;
    Quickly, make, no delay!
As together we prepare for battle,

    Fight for our Savior;
    Come, come away!
As together, we prepare for battle!
  3. Fighting as the leaders,
    And the world is our foe;
We shall win ore evil by and by.

    Glad to volenteer,
Let us give it a go!
We shall win ore evil by and by.

    Dangers may gather
    We'll never fear,
Joining hands and marching on to victory!

    Jesus, our Leader,
    He is ever near.
Joining hands and marching on to victory!

    Christ will protect us,
    Give up a cheer!
We're joyfully, marching to our home.

    Ready for the battle,
We will never shed a tear!
We're joyfully, marching to our home.

You were born to shine

When the world gets you in the downs,
And darkness comes and surrounds,
And you can't stop the frown,
Don't give up hope,

Don't give up hope,
Everything will turn out fine,
You are a star,
And you were born to shine.

When it seems the sky is gray,
And you don't know what to say,
And the night is dark, so is the day,
Don't put out your light

Don't put out your light,
Everything will turn out fine,
You are a star,
And you were born to shine.

When papers keep piling up,
And you want to yell "enough!"
And you are losing all your stuff,
Don't let it get you down,

Don't let it get you down
Everything will turn out fine,
You are a star,
And you were born to shine.

When the clock strikes two,
And no one is there for you,
And nothing is brand new,
Don't stop believing,

Don't stop believing,
Everything will turn out fine,
You are a star,
And you were born to shine.

When you look up at the sky,
And you know you cannot lie,
You'll feel it by and by,
You know who you are.

You know who you are,
Everything will turn out fine,
You are a star,
And you were born to shine.

To Look Up at the Stars

As I walk outside
Into the night
The cool air on my face,

As darkness fills
The atmosphere
I fear I have no place.

The dark outside
Is inside too
I'm looking at the ground.

Not quite knowing
Where I fit
In this eternal round.

I sit upon
The cement steps
My head is in my hands.

Not feeling ready
To give all things
That the world demands.

I feel the breeze
Rushing past
I hear a still small voice.

Soothing, clear,
It fills my mind
It declares new choice

Flooding my heart
Ignigting hope
Like it could take me far,

Don't be afraid
It said to me,
To look up at the stars.

Going crazy

Hey guys! So we were pretty tired yesterday and wrote some poetry for you to enjoy!

John goes to the pond
At the pond he was fond
Of a duck named Sond
Who had her own wand

Megan came to the pond
And got mad at John for being fond
At the duck named Sond
Who had her own wand

Jordan came to the pond
And laughed at John for being fond
At the duck named Sond
Who had her own wand

And then Jordan died
And nobody cried
Because the duck lied
About being high

Isaiah came to the pond
And laughed ‘cause Jordan died
‘Cause Jordan became fond
Of Sond because she lied

Then John and Megan left
Isaiah put Jordan on a shelf
And Sond made friends with an elf
Then Jordan laughed at himself

The elf was a snake. Duh.
Who ate a cake. bub
With a rake. No
That’s so fake. Yo!

This poem’s not over
Jordan ate a rover
In a field of clovers
In a city called Dover

John came back
To have a snack
With the Pack
And Megan liked that

The duck named Sond
Found another duck pond
With a duck named Bill
Who had a short will

Then Kena showed up
When the sun came up
And she went up
And this line ends with “up”

Then she ate a cup
And she ate a pup
And then she said “Yup”
And then “Whats up”

This poem’s almost over
Not really though, ‘cause the rover
Drove into a clover
In a city named Dover

Jordan came back
To have a snack
With the Pack
And Megan liked that

Then John went back
To the pond in black
With a beard and a sack
And kicked Jordan’s back

Jordan fell into the pond
With a duck named Sond
And a duck named Bill
Who had a short will

Then Jordan died again
And no one cried again
‘Cause Sond lied again
And Bill got high again

Okay, lets end this poem
With some cake
Then see a Samoan
With a rake

NEXT!

I woke up on Monday
After it was Sunday
I was not ill
I took no pill

I got in the car
And rode on the tar
To a pretty girls camp
Without my lamp

The first day there was a dance
I saw a lot of ants
I had some fun
And saw the Sun

I went to the dance
There were lots of ants
I “wore” some pants
When I went to the dance

We all were glad,
Isaiah was rad
John was mad
Megan was sad

NEXT!

We had a meeting today,
About having a say,
In our Vanguard group
We had no soup

We all made a loop
After talking about love soup
So let’s sing a song
About a Chinese gong

Megan is a girl
Her boyfriends name is earl
He has a pet curl
That came off of a pearl (named curl)

We went on a trek
And met a guy named beck
We saw lots of ants
On john’s pants

Lets play a game
And go insane
John is a boy
And loves soy

Jda;lksjdf;lakjsd;f
The end

NEXT!

Megan has a boyfriend
His name is not Jordan
His name is Earl
His hair’s in a curl

John is in love
He gave her a dove
She gave him a shove
It was all for love

What’s her name?
I can’t tell you
It will bring me fame,
But I can’t smell a shoe

The end!

Who is pulling the handcart?

The pioneers of old,
Put their faith in God,
They left the land they knew,
To travel out abroad.

Uncertain of their future,
They pulled their handcarts all,
Whenever they got stuck or trapped,
Then to their knees they'd fall.

With pleading eyes they'd turn,
As they prayed within their hearts,
Asking the question,
Who is pulling the handcart?

Tears would come as they realized,
Angelic help was with them,
It was help from our God above,
That He would prove 'here I am'

And as I walked beside my friends,
And the people that I love,
Reenacting history,
With help from up above.

I witnessed and I felt,
A small part of their pain,
For in times of need and struggle,
And in the mist of clouds and rain.

I would turn around to see,
Asking within my heart,
With searching, moist eyes,
Who is pulling the hand cart?

I would see both kinds of angels,
In the faces of my friends,
Or I would not see anything at all,
Knowing Christ would stay there to the end.

As I go throughout my life,
With trials and hard times
I often fall down in grief,
With tears filling up my eyes,

I wonder if this hurt,
Will ever disappear,
And when will help come?
In a week or in a year?

Then I feel my burdens lightened,
And crying, withing my heart,
Once again I ask the question,
Who is pulling the handcart?
