Miracles Everywhere!

I made this poem for Vanguard a while ago, and I thought it was a good Sunday-ish poem, so here you go!

A chirping of a bird.
A kind and gentle word.
A soft sweet kittens purr.
The soft feel of dog fur.

Warm bright fire aglow.
Majestic twinkling snow.
Soft nice squishy pillows.
Roasting sweet marshmallows.

The laughing of a child.
A lullaby so mild.
The reading of a book.
An awesome mother cook.

A inspired painting.
A beautiful morning.
A lustrous warm sunset.
A friend that's newly met.

Cooling or heating air.
A scrumptious bite of pear.
A flick and there's light.
The stars shimmering bright.

All these wondrous things.
God did mercifully bring.
He gives us mercies tender.
Small miracles they are.

Mini miracles make
A smile on my face.
But somethings else that bring
A joyful calm feeling,

Are the miracles like the
Atonement and how He
The great Redeemer died.
He died for you and I.

He rose  again also.
He came back all aglow.
Aglow with peace and joy.
With love for girl and boy.

With open arms He does
Receive us all, because
He wants us to return.
When some things we have learned.

Every day They will be
There for us, you and me.
Holy Ghost, Christ and God,
Want Their path to be trod.

We can do it all too.
And They will help us through.
Don't ignore the warnings
That will drop our learning.

Those warnings are sure
Miracles God sent pure.
Don't pass them up, for they,
Can surly save the day.

Miracles here and there.
Miracles everywhere!

Perfect Day

The clouds are white; the sky is blue,
Everything is perfect 'cause I'm with you.

Pass by a stream; A lil' lazy river,
I toss in a rock to see the water quiver.

It's not too hot; and not too cold
I feel young and alive! Not really that old.

Smiling and laughing, sharing and talking,
Sun beams fall upon us as were dancing and walking.

A little cute path; we walk along,
Flowers by the side; singing our song.

Trees surround us blooming here,
In the world there's no happier cheer,

Birds flying over head; bunnies on the ground,
Bees buzzing every where. What a happy sound.

The perfect place for a picnic;
Out comes the basket; lets see what is in it.

Sandwiches and cookies; milk and cheese,
Eating on our blanket; pass the crackers please.

What a happy day; full of fun,
As we play with each other out in the sun.

Why is nobody on?

I check my emails frequently,
But as far as I can see,
No one is online but me,
I am getting bored.

A few adults go on and off,
Where is every one I scoff,
I sigh and blink and look and cough,
I am getting bored.

Where are you every one?
How about a little fun?
Hurry before this day is done?
I am getting bored.

Oh look! Someones on!
It's Anna, no more yawn!
Oh dear now shes gone.
I am getting bored.

Lets try this little trick,
Maybe if I get sick,
A movie I could pick,
I am getting bored.

Then yes! Hooray! More on wow!
Ky, lee and Snickers we're chatting now,
Spinach is on too, Growl....(JK)
I am getting bored

Now UGH! No! My plan is foiled,
Everything is now soiled,
No park no friends Now I'm coiled,
I am getting bored.

I've looked for advice,
To this crisis,
And I've tried to be nice,
But I am getting bored.

I check my email once again,
Now I'm getting crazy skin,
This game I will never win!
I am getting bored.

Over and over,
The same little cover,
Wanna play red rover?
I am getting bored.

Now I'm not exactly sure,
This poem where to take,
Sorry that it's random,
Ill try my best, for your sake!

So now I am just sitting,
Upside-down: It's fitting,
I'm not close to quiting,
I am now bored,

Suddenly up-right
Scared I am quite,
Looking for some light,
Still I'm very bored.

Brains! I am a zombie!
Being very naughty,
What if I get caughty?
Eating someones brains?

Great now I'm full,
Harry potter rules!
I'm hot and cool,
Again I'm getting bored.

People if you don't get on soon,
I'll start jumping around the room,
Or run in circles or like a plane zoom,
I am very bored.

Here I go; one more time,
(Hey look this really rhymes)
I'm checking my email guys!
Still no body's on!

Away, Then Back.

I thought (even though it's been a while since this happened) that I should post this before it gets even later.
This is a poem about my stay at my great grandma's house, and then when I came back.

Strange new house, strange new place
Strange new cats, and strange new face.

Strange new smells, strange new beds
So many differences, running through my head!

At first it was fine, it wasn't to bad,
But after a while, I missed mom and dad.

I missed my family, I missed my dog!
I missed my friends and missed this blog!

I kinda go used to it, after a while,
But I still missed. But I still smiled.

We had some great times, my cousin and I
My second cousin in fact, just not to lie.

We played, and ate, and ate and played
And we watched some shows, and stayed up late.

We swam in the pool, and in the hot tub.
We ate crab meat sandwiches, and bellies rubbed.

We painted and drew, and listened to
Stories told by Great Grandma who,

Had much to tell, about her life.
She told us of her life as housewife.

There we many antique little things,
And each all had a story to tell and to bring.

We laughed and talked, and had much fun,
We had a great time, out in the sun.

But the time came, time to go home.
It was happy and sad, all in one.

But when I arrived, back at the house,
Things weren't as quiet as a mouse.

All of a sudden things seemed loud!
With so many children running around!

I went to sleep, not tired much!
I was so used to sleeping in till, lunch!

But I slept, and woke up to a noise!
Oh, it was a singing 4yr old boy.

He was singing at the top of his lungs!
I tried telling him to hush, for my ears rung!

But he kept on singing, and singing some more.
Until FINALLY he went out the door!

Ah, peace at last, I could nap.
But then I realized.....Oh crap!

I needed to get ready fast!
For it was church day! I can't skip that!

So I scurried away, and did my hair,
And brushed my teeth, and did all my care.

And we rushed in the church, and oh my!
Wow! It was packed! And that's not a lie!

We went to the back, and sat not on a pew,
But in the hard chairs! And I felt like: Phew!

I felt kind of flustered, like I'de run round the town,
But then I laid back, and then Poof went my frown!

I looked at my family, so wild, but cute.
This is where I belong. I know it's the truth.

Ugh

Ugh. I don't feel so great,
I'm tired and bored and that's a mistake,
I've been sitting around and doing nothing,
All that I really want is something!

I've eaten snacks,
I went to a class,
I went swimming,
Without a cool pass,

I've listened to all the debates,
Of parents and uncles and aunts,
I've even been the judge one time,
Although choosing who wins I can't,

I've been to the store, I've been to the park,
I've played night games in the dark,
I've swam with a Hammerhead shark,
JK but I have sung like a lark,

So if I have done these exciting things,
Why don't I fly or have wings,
Why I'm not soaring, strait though the clouds?
Why do I feel like ugh and ow?

Why do I feel like a tired lazy slob,
And don't want to work or do my jobs,
Or happily play the piano with ease?
Why can't I do these things? Tell me please!

Maybe I'm tired since I haven't slept,
I mean come on! Its 10 PM!
And that I'm not kidding And If I don't hurry,
It will be the morning, my parents will worry.

Maybe I'm bored because it is summer,
My friend snickerdoodle knows how to recover,
From this disease of boredom she says,
I'll re-read her prezi and then go to bed!

Oh dear now it is 10:03,
I am really trying my best to hurry,
But why do I feel like this word called ugh?
And why do I feel like that thing called a slug?

AH HA! I know it! Now I know why!
It just came to me, It just arrived,
I need to study, and learn and work,
And from my education never ever shirk!

This is smart, this is grand!
But now I need to come up with a plan,
A plan for tomorrow of what I will learn,
What is it I need, what is it I yearn?

Well maybe this week about pioneers,
That's who I'll study my own ancestors,
I feel a Passion for my family history,
It no longer to me is a mystery.

But now I must go to bed you see,
For I must wake up at 5:30,
And that is so very early,
I can not afford bed at 10:03.

To be continued....

HELP! I'M BORED!

Just sittin' here bored out of my mind.
Would someone please, help me find:

My sanity! For I need it so!
I'm so bored, you don't even know!

My friends are gone, and I am stuck,
Here at home, and out of luck.

I'm lonely and bored and down in the dumps.
I fell like I have the slumpy-grump-mumps.

I wish so badly, I was out with my friends!
Having fun and making amends!

But no, I'm not. I'm here just sitting.
Doing nothing but, my self, pitying.

I sigh and type, and type and sigh.
I am so bored, I could cry!

Someone please help me NOW!
Please! I need it! Oh I need it so!

Cure me of this evil disease!
This disease of boredom! Hurry please!

SOS! HELP! NOW! HURRY!
Save me from this pointless fury!

Why aren't you coming to my rescue?
I said NOW! You heard me didn't you?

Well, I'll be waiting. And you'd better come!
Release me from this HORRID boredom!!

Ice Cream From The Sky

One day I was walking down the street,
Then something cold landed by my feet,
Summer's here and so with all the heat,
The thing evaporated in the street,

"Hmm" I said "This is all very strange"
"And I think that this should all soon change"
Ice cream falling from the sky no way!
This must end! For I have something to say.

I went to the cops to help me out,
And at them I did shout and shout and shout!
They looked at me with amused faces on there face,
And said go look for help some other place...

So next I went for help to the mayor,
My words he listened to in fact he savored,
But not for long when it dropped through the sky,
He said "your crazy, leave" and then "goodbye"

Angry I decided to go to court!
This mess they would surely help me sort!
But after many trials I went to Jail,
Until my mother came to me to bail.

She scolded me and asked what I was doing,
I said that it was all rather confusing,
But mainly I was looking for advice,
Of how to Stop falling cream and ice.

She scolded me but sent me on my way,
I hoped I would see her another day,
But with all that was happening right now,
All I could do was hope that she knew how.

Next I decided I'd skip the rest,
And so I got into my very best dress,
To the white house with some fancy plates,
To the president of the United states!

After my story was quite through
I didn't for sure know what to do,
He looked at me as if I was bizarre,
I had gone past the line by far.

I had broken every single rule,
I deserved a punishment quite cruel,
And so banishment from this place,
Where I wanted to go! The very place!

Home where ice cream fell from the sky,
Home where everyone listens to I,
Home where people love me very much,
Home where there is soft and gentle touch.

Sacrament

While we take the sacrament,
Quietly we do repent,
We can feel our Saviors love,
It comes, it flows from above,

Feeling the spirit,
Shh! Can you hear it?
Some times we fast,
As we go to our class

We quietly bow our heads,
As the sacrament prayer is said,
The deacons stand to give there part,
Slowly gratitude fills my heart.

They walk reverently through the isles,
Offering bread all the while,
We take our part with pure intent,
Feelings of comfort around us are sent,

Once everyone has partaken,
The spirit now can't be mistaken,
Water uncovered prayer is said,
We are done with the bread.

Water passed among us all,
Whether we are big or small,
Convents renewed again,
Blessings poured upon our heads,

We drink and send along it's way,
They reverently replace the tray,
And quietly return to there seats,
The sacrament is now complete.
-Dassia :D

Words that remind me of the Sacrament:
Peaceful,
Repentance,
Thoughtful,
Thankful,
True,
Gift,
Knowledge,
Wisdom,
Joyful.

In the Jungle Girls Camp

A couple days ago, I got back from girls camp, and it was totally awesome. Our theme was "It's a jungle out there...Stand Out! And the YCL's sung "In the Jungle" But girls camp version. This isn't the version they sung, but I made this one up.

In the tune of "In the Junlge" :

Ee e e um um a weh
Ee e e um um a weh

Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh
Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh
Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh
Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh

In the girls camp the mighty girls camp,
We stand for truth and right!
In the girls camp the mighty girls camp,
We don't want drama fights!
Ee e e um um a weh
Ee e e um um a weh
Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh
Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh
Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh
Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh
In the girls camp the mighty girls camp,
The girls won't sleep at night!
In the girls camp the mighty girls camp
We get masquito bites!
 Ee e e um um a weh
Ee e e um um a weh
 Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh
Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh
Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh
Wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh, wimoweh
In the girls camp, the mighty girls camp,
Our freindship bonds are tight,
In the girls camp, or out of girls camp,
We want to be a light!

Ee e e um um a weh
Ee e e um um a weh
It's a jungle out there....Stand out!!

Greatness or laziness

Ahhh! I am awfully stressed,
I feel like everything is a mess,
I can't do it all, I must confess,
This felling I surely detest,

Ahhh! I am awfully scared,
And when others life's I foolishly compared,
I said oh no, but never really cared,
For I was too busy to stop and repair,

Work and hurry, hurry and work!
From our duty's never shirk!
Work work work! Don't be a jerk,
And while others work don't sit and smirk.

But what if we have so much to do,
And our feet are lazily sticking to carpet like glue,
And the work we have we don't want to,
As old crumbles away there should be new.

Ahhh! I can take it no more,
Clean I must! I must do my chores,
But really why should I for chores are a bore,
I really want to explore and soar!

But when I think hard about this,
Which is not very much bliss,
I think hard work leads to my wish,
Of love, joy an happiness.

Some men of this world are born,
With greatness, leadership too,
While some come to achieve it,
It doesn't just stick like glue,
But the men who have it thrust,
upon there mighty brow,
Cradle and cuddle it,
And make the best somehow.

So I will catch and cradle and cuddle,
My little infant greatness,
Until one day I'm ready to say,
I've taken the courage to face it!

Greatness overcomes all laziness.

Pick for me

Will you help me decide?
Because I can't choose,
Should I make another poem?
Or should I refuse,

The constant urge,
To write a poem,
I have so many to finish,
I shouldn't keep goin'

But I really need you to help me pick
What oh what should I do?
I'm literally looking for your advice,
Of what I should do, what think you?

And if you want a poem,
What should I write about?
I am taking requests here,
Comment, talk or shout!

What is it you want to hear,
I will write a poem!
But wait you haven't told be yet,
My I need to be calm,

So please choose for me,
Oh no look and see,
I wrote another poem,
Easily!

Well I guess the question is now:
Should I write another somehow,
I am going crazy,
Your all so amazing.

Pick!

4th of July 2013!!!!

Blast the trumpets, sound the horn!
This day our country is re-born!
On this very special day,
We will celebrate our say,

We wave our flag joyfully,
The parade goes by openly,
We sing and laugh and play a while,
On every ones face there is a smile,

Hooray Hooray Hooray!!!!
Nothing better then today,
Where we celebrate, were free!
Thankful for our liberty,

Who are all the men behind this?
Who started all this bliss
The founding fathers! For them we shout!

And God above all of us,
Who gave us this world,
He loves us a lot,
The flag un-furled,

Treats and goodies, goodies and treats,
Hurry! So we can get good seats,
Floats go by,
Hooray we cry!

Red white and blue,
This is true!
Our flag flying solo,
Our nations logo!

What fun come all,
A celebration time we call,
No one can cancel the fourth of July,
It just won't work so don't you try!

Playing all day long,
Singing loyal songs,
Being thankful for this day,
While fireworks boom and burst away,

What a great end to happy times,
Tired yawns and sleepy eyes,
A quiet drive home like a mouse,
As we enter in our little house,

Goodbye till next year,
We may say,
Good bye till then,
Another day.
