Miracles Everywhere!

 I made this poem for Vanguard a while ago, and I thought it was a good Sunday-ish poem, so here you go!

A chirping of a bird.
A kind and gentle word.
A soft sweet kittens purr.
The soft feel of dog fur.

Warm bright fire aglow.
Majestic twinkling snow.
Soft nice squishy pillows.
Roasting sweet marshmallows.

The laughing of a child.
A lullaby so mild.
The reading of a book.
An awesome mother cook.

A inspired painting.
A beautiful morning.
A lustrous warm sunset.
A friend that's newly met.

Cooling or heating air.
A scrumptious bite of pear.
A flick and there's light.
The stars shimmering bright.

All these wondrous things.
God did mercifully bring.
He gives us mercies tender.
Small miracles they are.

Mini miracles make
A smile on my face.
But somethings else that bring
A joyful calm feeling,

Are the miracles like the
Atonement and how He
The great Redeemer died.
He died for you and I.

He rose  again also.
He came back all aglow.
Aglow with peace and joy.
With love for girl and boy.

With open arms He does
Receive us all, because
He wants us to return.
When some things we have learned.

Every day They will be
There for us, you and me.
Holy Ghost, Christ and God,
Want Their path to be trod.

We can do it all too.
And They will help us through.
Don't ignore the warnings
That will drop our learning.

Those warnings are sure
Miracles God sent pure.
Don't pass them up, for they,
Can surly save the day.

Miracles here and there.
Miracles everywhere!

Perfect Day

The clouds are white; the sky is blue,
Everything is perfect 'cause I'm with you.

Pass by a stream; A lil' lazy river,
I toss in a rock to see the water quiver.

It's not too hot; and not too cold
I feel young and alive! Not really that old.

Smiling and laughing, sharing and talking,
Sun beams fall upon us as were dancing and walking.

A little cute path; we walk along,
Flowers by the side; singing our song.

Trees surround us blooming here,
In the world there's no happier cheer,

Birds flying over head; bunnies on the ground,
Bees buzzing every where. What a happy sound.

The perfect place for a picnic;
Out comes the basket; lets see what is in it.

Sandwiches and cookies; milk and cheese,
Eating on our blanket; pass the crackers please.

What a happy day; full of fun,
As we play with each other out in the sun.

To the Mom's

A happy, happy day to you,
So much for us you all do,
And so this day devoted to,
Our amazing mothers!

You cook and you clean,
You sew and you sing,
Your my beautiful queen,
Our amazing mothers!

Acting and Home school,
Instead of toys it's tools,
You even give us helpful rules,
Our amazing mothers!

I know we don't appreciate you enough.
How can we complain about OUR life being tough?
I hope that you know we love you so much,
Our amazing mothers.

This is the end of my short little poem,
On this day, your mothers get to know 'em
Your amazing examples to us others,
I love you all, Our amazing Mothers!

Things I Appreciate:

When I get up in the morning,

And yawn and look about,

I'm grateful for the things I see,

That make we want to shout.


How blessed I am for everything,

Each thing big or small.

There's many things to appreciate,

And I'm thankful for them all!


I'm thankful for my house,

And my family so kind,

I'm thankful for car's and bikes

And airplanes in the sky!


For socks and shoes and more,

And good books for sure!

For beds, friends and fruit,

And babies so cute!


For animals at the zoo,

I'm thankful for me and you!

For clean running water,

For pot's and there potters.


For plants and trees,

For prayer on my knees

For the Holy Spirit,

And for the ability to hear it!


What else am I thankful for?

Do you want to know or am I a bore?

I could go on and on and on,

An this poem could get really long :)


So I'll end on one sweet note,

Who on water could float with no boat?

I'm thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ,

For it was He who gave me the gift of my life.

Kind words

Let us speak kind words to each other,
If we do, no contention we'll cause,
Kind words, each sister and brother,
Then the spirit will return as it was,

All of us can do better you see,
Kind words make others feel better,
So let us not speak sarcastically,
And be kind every single letter!

Sometimes we tease just a little,
But sometimes it might not feel nice,
If we stop teasing so much it'll,
Help when breaking the ice!!!

So when a moment comes up,
Don't say something that may be rude,
Instead of push-down, push-up!!
Even if you don't think they find it crude.

So to be builders, we'll all try harder,
And then happiness can be found,
Yes happiness together!
And say kind words all around.

Miracles of America.

Heres a poem I made for vanguard:

Lehi knew there was a land.
Promised and free it would stand.
Nephi and Sam were righteous and good.
Lamen and Lemuel never really understood.

God commanded Nephi
To build a boat for Lehi
So he could take his family
To the great America free.

They built that boat with righteous hands
It was hard, but they got to the promised land.
Their accounts of them and their kin are in
A book called the Book of Mormon.

Is that not a miracle?

Then in 1492
Columbus sailed the ocean blue!
He took some people in his ships
Oh how he hoped and bit his lips.
Columbus wished and rubbed his hands.
Oh how he wanted to get to that land.

He thought he knew another way
To get to india in less days,
But those days turned into weeks
And the people were getting weak.

They were getting tired, so tired in fact,
That kill him they would if land they lacked!
Columbus prayed, oh how he prayed!
He knew only Gods help would save the day.

He waited and worried and worried and waited,
To see the land he anticipated,
Land ho land ho! Land ho land ho!
Thanks unto God! For he did bestow,
This land of hope and promise we know.

Is that not a miracle?

Then there was the Men Raised Up
Who were inspired and much tip-top
And with the Revaluation and all,
We needed them so we wouldn't fall.

The  Declaration of Independence I'm sure
Could not have the least bit long endured,
With out those men and without our God.
Nothing could happen without God!

"Success of the Declaration and the war
Was a miracle from our Father In heaven I'm sure!"
Said those Men raised Up
Who were much tip-top.

Is that not a miracle?

Then there was the Inspired documents
The constitution caused many laments
  But Franklin said
“If a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice,
 is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? 
 I believe without His concurring aid
 we shall succeed in this political building
 no better than the building 
 of Babel.”

 So they all went home and prayed
They prayed for Heavenly Father's aid.

And I think they got what they did need
And that Heavenly Father did Help and did lead
And Inspired those men in such a way
For we have that Constitution up to this day.

Is that not a miracle?

Then there was a dark and sad apostasy,
But there was a boy named Joseph Smith, you see?
He was a truth seeker and sought a church that was true
He read a scripture then knew what to do
He wanted his questions understood,
So he went deep deep into the wood.

Satan tempted to make him fear
But Christ and His Father appeared
And restored the gospel unto him.
For it, mobs feathered him limb to limb.
And the saints endured from day to day
And a book was translated to show them the way.
The Book Of Mormon it was called
And Joseph himself knew it all
couldn't have been done without God.

Is that not a miracle?

Because of this gospel that was restored
By the utmost power of the Lord,
We can follow the teaching within it
And the righteous and free path will be lit.

Us In our day must follow that way
Us, Yes me and you, us TODAY
Must follow that pathway and surely Stay
On that path to true freedom, Don't throw it away,
Yes what a wonderful chance,
Don't throw it away!

Family is the basic unit
Of a strong society,
We have a family and must use it
Oh so very wisely.

We are all a part of one family
Our Father expects things of you and me
He wants us to help build a zion home.
He doesn't want others to feel alone.

He wants us to build strong family units
On this beautiful promised land
You have Common sense! Now tune it!
Don't worry God gives you his hand.

America is great because she is good
And if America ceases to be good,
America will cease to be great!
Please don't become full of hate.
For righteousness is the only gate,
For the USA to be great

For over 4,000 years this country has been
A place for promise and has been chosen
As a place of freedom for the Lords purposes
Its destined for financial resources.

The Lord is making an Investment in you
So you and I must get up and DO.
The Lord expects performance you see
And a good one at that,  so please

Take this journey of freedom with me.
The conscience of America we will be!
God will help us in this quest to be free
And through His miracles and His mercy,
We can fulfill our great responsibility.

We can be part of a miracle!

Wide, wonder, world.

Big, beautiful, blue,
Terrific, trustable, true,
Lovely, light, land,
Bright, busy, band,

Amazing, art, and,
Glorious, grateful, grand,
Helpful, holy, hooray!
Talented, tell, today!

Wonderful, well, wise,
Yummy, yes, yise,
Friendly, faithful, flag,
Nice, neat, no nag,

This is what earth used to be,
Why can't it be really free?
Why oh why can't it go back? 
I know exactly what it lacks.

I cant wait till Christ comes here,
I can't wait to have him neer,
When the lion lies down with the lamb,
Etarnal forever with my fam.
