Daffodil.

Smooth, sparkling, shining.
Like the sun one one green stem.
Beautiful, bright, stunning,
Like a golden shimmering gem.

Fragrant sweet and airy.
Like a fresh drop of spring,
A cushion for a fairy,
Such a delicate thing.

It seems to reach, out right.
Breathing in its warmth.
Happy, radiant, light!
It seems to shine forth.

It is so bright, it doesn't hide.
It stands out, steady still.
No fear to show what's inside,
Oh, lovely daffodil.

~Snickerdoodle

A birthday party I'll write s'more for you!

Hurry hide behind this big tree,
I think he is coming Is that who I see,
Lets sneak around like spies and wait for them to notice,
I think they already did, they are pointing at us,

Ninjas here! Run run run,
And good news, she brought her gun!
This party is so much fun!
And goodies too yum, yum, yum.

I will eat this in one whole bite,
Trust me, that was quite a fright,
And these things too, like flowers in hair,
That too did give me a scare,

Then have another cupcake,
BAM! In his eye?!?
I am sure he felt like,
He was ready to cry,
(because who would want frosting,
in there eye?!)

We play some missionary tag,
Which was kinda tricky,
Boys like the girls chasing them?!?
That is very icky.

I don't feel so good,
Kaiden what did you do?
To those perfectly yummy yum yum,
Perfect delish, food?

Lets go see the water fall!
And although it's not that high,
We can slide down it,
If only we try,

We did that for a while,
I held all they're things,
Nic got his blood on Josee,
The birds scattered with there wings,

That's all I think you want to know,
About that crazy day,
But don't worry,
There is still more to say:

Rrrring! Rrrring!
Hello? Were at your house!
Really? Oh were at yours,
Stay right there, that's your chore!

Finally were all,
Going to the right place,
At the same time,
Were drifting off into space,

TWC was so much fun!
TWC yum yum yum,
But Ninja threw away chocolate,
Is that a sin? Not one bit! (yes it is)

We got prizes and learned about writing,
Everything was very exciting,
I want to write more and more,
For no longer has it any bore.

A Birthday Party!

Here is a little glimpse of all the crazy-ness that happened at our friends birthday party a few days ago. :)

With missionary tag,
And trying not to gag,
As people stuff their faces.

With cupcakes in eyes
And all sorts of lies,
And many many disgraces!

With spinning around,
On the thing that we found,
We call it the spin-y thing,

With walking along,
And singing a song,
As we swing swing swing.

With splashing around
As we try not to drown,
As we get really soaked,

With long board stealing,
And a sneaky feeling,
As we get teased and poked.

With having tons of fun,
As we play in the sun,
Our friendships makes me say: YAY!

With all these things
And the moments we bring,
My smile can widen, each day.

Thankful that I have the best

My feelings are hard to describe right now,
But I'll try to tell you them, anyhow.
I'm blessed with many things you see,
For this country, in which I am free.

I'm blessed with my family, religion and,
My talents, and homeschooling (which is very grand)
This week I went to girls camp,
And although the grass was kinda damp,

We Built on our testimonies,
Which stands for BOOT camp true,
Everyone can build there knowledge,
And stand for righteousness too,

But of all the things I'm grateful for,
I don't know how else to describe,
I'm thankful for a ninja girl,
My friend whose by my side,

She knows what I like what I do what I see,
She shows me how to go, do and be,
She is exactly what I need,
My best example to succeed!

On Mondays at Family home evening,
She teaches me how to love,
She teaches me how to pray,
To our God above,

On Tuesdays she teaches me,
Responsibility,
And musical talents,
With piano planets!

On Wednesdays of old,
She taught me how to glow,
And to shine and do more,
Master class was never bore!

But Wednesdays of today,
She shows me how to play,
With everyone of our age or not,
And kindness never to fought,

Thursdays was art where she showed me,
How to take beauty and arise and be,
An artist of colors and beauty,
She is such a cutie!

Fridays she would show me how to sing,
With flying colors and blend,
She would sing with the beauty of the whole choir,
Happiness she would send,

Special Saturday service and,
Swimming, games which were just grand,
We'd still have our fun of course,
Everyday fun at a fun source,

Sunday we see each other,
At hymns, hymns and M's,
This is why I am so glad,
I have a ninja friend!

She teaches me so much you see,
No matter where we are,
She is the very best friend I have,
The very best by far.

Can you see why?
I hope you will try,
And I hope that each of you,
Will have a very special friend,

Who loves you,
Very true.
Just as I,
Love each of you.

Playmate

This last week our good friend Snickerdoodle left on a trip. And so I wrote this poem, because I miss her. Of course this can apply to others but right now... I miss you!...(and don't eat any mushrooms!)

We run we skip we laugh we talk as happy as can be,
We hide and ride, and have a good time, as we scurry up a tree.

Friends we are as you can see,
Best friends, and will forever be,
And when were sad or need a lift,
Our other friend will give a gift,
Of their time and help them up,
Until they feel good enough,
How fun it is that we can say,
We see each other everyday!
But when one friends goes away,
The fun drops out day by day,
We still have a little fun,
While in the sky, crawls the sun,
But still we miss our special friend,
Don't worry we'll see them around the bend,
For another week there always is,
Full of fun. Yes it 'tis
And while we endure this time apart,
I know that we can always start,
More inside jokes and candy books,
And care free times playin in brooks,
Poofy trees and trustworthy poles,
As we climb in and out of holes,

Our inside jokes,
Too many to name,
When were apart,
It's never the same,

When were together,
It's nothing but fun,
Replacing this friend,
Just can't be done!
Parting is such sweet sorrow,
From each other we borrow,
We say good bye,
But never cry,
For next week next month, next day,
Another day to say hey,
And be the best of friends you see,
And color on stuff with sidewalk chalk
Miss you friend next time when,
We run and skip and laugh and talk.

The Fence or The Ambulance

One of the guest speakers at girls camp shared this poem. And of course I loved it! So I just had to share. It was so amazing.

‘Twas a dangerous cliff, as they freely confessed,
Though to walk near its crest was so pleasant:
But over its terrible edge there had slipped
A duke and many a peasant;
So the people said something would have to be done.
But their projects did not at all tally:
Some said, "Put a fence around the edge of the cliff"
Some, "An ambulance down in the valley."

But the cry for the ambulance carried the day.
For it spread to the neighboring city:
A fence may be useful or not, it is true,
But each heart became brimful of pity

For those who had slipped o’er that dangerous cliff,
And the dwellers in highway and alley
Gave pounds or gave pence, not to put up a fence,
But an ambulance down in the valley.

"For the cliff is alright if your careful," they said,
"and if folks even slip or are dropping,
it isn't the slipping that hurts them so much
as the shock down below-when they're stopping,"

So day after day when these mishaps occurred,
Quick forth would the rescuers sally
To pick up the victims who fell off the cliff,
With their ambulance down in the valley.

Then an old man remarked, "it's a marvel to me
that people give far more attention
to repairing results than to stopping the cause,
when they'd much better aim at prevention.

Let us stop at its source all this mischief, cried he.
"Come neighbors and Friends, let us rally :
If the cliff we will fence, we might almost dispense
with the ambulance down in the valley."

"Oh, he's a fanatic." the others rejoined:
"dispense with the ambulance Never!
He'd dispense with all charities, too, if he could:
no, no! We'll support them forever.

Aren't we picking up folks just as fast as they fall?
And shall this man dictate to us? Shall he?
Why would people of sense stop to put up a fence?
While their ambulance works in the valley?"

But a sensible few who are practical too,
Will not bear with such nonsense much longer
They believe that prevention is better than cure
And their party will soon be the stronger

Encourage them, then with your purse, voice and pen
And (while other philanthropists dally)
They will scorn all pretense, and put up a stout fence
On the cliff that hangs over the valley.

The Nature

I wrote this while on a hike this last year for Vanguard:

The beautiful colors,
The beautiful sounds,
The beautiful things,
I see all around,
Heavenly Father made just for me,
So that's why I'm quiet, as quiet as can be.
As I sit here and think of Beauty and love,
And look all around especially above,
Then all of a sudden, BOOM! And rain falling down,
Falling and Falling Oh-so softly down,
And I see the beauty from a different point of view,
The kind of view with sky no longer blue,

The rain drips and drops,
Then suddenly stops!
And I walk off the trail to a beautiful lake,

That is so still and yet not quite blank,
For I can see the reflections of trees,
With nothing else but the birds and the breeze,
The beauty that takes my breath away,
And there's so much more I wanted to say,
I love the trees no mater how tall,
And I thank Thee God for it all!

Birds

Early in the morning,
Up comes the sun,
The birds are in the trees,
Looking for some fun,

They swoop down-wards,
Unto the damp ground,
Some twitter, flutter and tweet,
Others make not a sound.

Coasting up, above the trees,
These little birds so high,
Robins, magpie, ravens too,
Floating in the sky,

How light they look up there,
Perching in a tree,
Cocking their heads,
And looking at me.

Some other of these birds,
are down upon the ground,
The peek and turn and wander,
In  circles all around.

Looking for twigs to build their nests,
Looking for bugs to eat,
Looking for bird seed, someone left out,
What a Delicious treat!

The air  is filled with their song,
A mocking bird calls out,
They sing and tweet and twitter,
All together they shout,

"We are so glad to be birds
Are you not jealous of us?
We sing and live a care free life,
With everyone to trust."

For truly they have not any fear,
In a neighborhood they live in,
They have no predators here,
Feather instead of fin.

Sun is all the way in the sky
Goodbye you little birds,
All the children come out to play,
And laugh in happy bursts,

The birds must stay up in the trees,
And go about daily life,
Until tomorrow morning I say,
I'll see you birds so nice.

Over flowing

Hey guys! So I have while bunches of little rhymes that I decided to put into one post there all really random and fun. Hope you enjoy them!!

For Donovan

At the begining of the year Donovan asked me to write a poem, in which everyother word rhymed. So here it is although it's short it's another nonsence poem so guess what it means :D

Go, lets, show, set's,
Fish, sale, wish, wale,
Tree, climb, me, sign,
Be, while, see, mile,

Love, kind, above, bind,
Sing, try, bling! buy,
Smile, and, while, sand,
that's, bend, bats, end!!
-Dassia :D

It's All a Choice

I was sick for a few days but now I'm better!

Trying to get comfortable,
With little movements I moan,
I feel gross, awful, and bored,
As I toss and turn and groan.

Ugh! Why am I feeling all this?
Well as some of you might guess,
I have a terrible awful cold,
And while I'm sick I feel like mold.
-Dassia! :D

Eureka!

This is actually a song but......

The cycles, water, plant and rock,
Learn about numbers on the clock,
Fibonaccis yes it's true,
Days of creation, that too!

Oh, oh, oh, eureka! Eureka!
Math is fun oh,
Eureka! I like math and science too,
It is so fun to do,

Logic puzzles every week,
Story time you just can't beat
CPR, just incase,
Wether station, don't be late!

It is eureka! Eureka!
Math is fun oh,
Eureka! I like math and science too,
It is so fun to do!

Even though it is confusing,
Math is also amusing,
Math plus vanguard equals fun,
Planets rotating around the sun,

It is eureka! Eureka!
Math is fun oh
Eureka!
I like math and science too,
Math is so fun to do!

-Dassia!

What do you do?

What do you do?
When your world comes crashing down around you?
What do you say?
When you want to run away?

What do you do when there's not even one hope left?
Whether it be sickness, sorrow, or death.

What can you do?
What can you say?
When everything's ruined that day,
Just pray.
-Dassia! :D

MEGAN

Miraculous God hear me pray,
Eternally love us day to day,
God, our father, help me to give,
Answers to others, and the best way to live,
Now I thank Thee Lord for blessings galore,
(I had to add an extra "I" in)
I'll wait for Thy Son to knock at my door!

That's all for now!!!

Bored

Through my window the sun is shining,
I am laying on my bed.
And it is really quite blinding.
I'm so bored, like I said.

I try to read but it's too hot,
I practice the math that I've been taught.
But nothing will wish this boredom away,
Out side may be summer, but inside I'm gray.

I feel like taking a nap,
Or floating in a pool,
Or drinking a cup of lemonade,
Trying to stay cool,

I know that I have a lot to do,
And not time to waste,
But every time I try something new,
I feel like sticky paste.

So this is why I'm acting,
Like a lump of clay,
This is why I'm sitting here,
On a beautiful day like today,

But wait! I can do better then this!
Then sitting around, day-dreaming of bliss,
Of sitting and thinking and writing a poem,
And sitting waiting for nothing at home.

I don't have time to write this poem,
My piano songs I need to know em'
My math, my schooling, and young women's too,
And Important stuff on my list to-do.

Why am I being so lazy?
Maybe because I went crazy.
Expectations I need to step-up,
Poetry is not enough.

Now I will be useful indeed,
I will go and succeed,
The Lord has prepared a way for me,
I will get things done you will see!

I guess if I'm going to get things done,
I better stop writing this poem for fun,
But if you ever need encouragement,
Write a poem it helps, every bit!!!

Attitude :D

What is good about rain?
(that should show you I'm insane)
Because EVERYTHING is good,
When it comes to rain like it should.

But what is good about sickness?
Where you body is full of stiffness,
Well, you get to rest. And others,
Show there love. Sisters and Brothers.

Tell me then what is good about hard work?
Perhaps you are shoveling in the dirt,
You grow big and strong building muscles,
That's what you get for working with shovels.

What is good about waking-up early?
Well first it's quiet you can hear a birdie!
You see the sun-rise if it's early enough,
And is your outside you'll see other stuff.

What is good about sad?
Or hurt really really bad?
I will help. I will comfort,
Especially if they are sun burnt! :)

I will keep a positive attitude,
Keep it full of gratitude,
Keep a smile on my face,
Any anger I will erase.
