Give! For it's Christmas after all.

Around this time of year,

Christmas is getting near.

Cheeks are rosy,

The fire is cozy

And in the air there is Christmas cheer.

Outside there is sparkling snow.

And people are happy we know

For hopefully Christmas cheer

And reminders of Christ so dear

In all hearts we do bestow.

We get our coats and all bundle up

And get our hot chocolate cup.

Our noses are red 

As we sled and we sled

Until we have to stop.

In the wintery wonderland

We each take a hand

And go for a walk

As we laugh and we talk

And everyone's feeling just grand.

Oh the smell of gingerbread! 

We get frosting of white, green and red,

We decorate with a smile

And stay there for quite a while

'Till we all must go to bed. 

We sleep with good dreams 

Until the morning

And of course we hop right out!

We can't conceal the excitement

And we scream and we shout!

It's Christmas, its Christmas, hooray!

It's christmas this very day!

But do you know what?

It's not about gifts! But,

It's about the Boy in the hay.

In-fact it really doesn't matter you see,

If you have but one present under the tree.

For it's CHRISTmas! So do

What Christ does for you

Every day for you and me,

Which is give give give and give some more

And don't think of the presents you get from the store

But give like the Savior in all His galore.

And maybe give a little more to the poor.

Wish others a Merry Christmas!

Don't envy or covet the gifts!

Don't whine or make a fuss!

But maybe give someone a lift!

Be like the Savior the Baby boy

Receive gladly your toy,

And please don't annoy,

For I know GIVING will GIVE you MUCH joy!

For christmas is a splendid time of year,

So think of the star that did appear.

Follow that star, and become more like Him.

The One who went through all thick and thin.

It will give joy to all

The tall and the small.

GIVE! For it's CHRISTmas after all!
