Church Time

At church this week a question popped into my head "why do we go to church every week?" It had a nice ring to it so I made it into a poem

Why do we go to church every week?
To learn of Christ and the sacrement eat?
To sing and to teach and to learn about truth,
As children and familys. Adult and youth.

To plan service projects to show that we care,
To meet in the church house & worship there.
To meet new comers to read and to pray
To keep this day holy what we do on Sunday.

What don't we do on this day so clean?
Shop and work and un-reverent things,
We stay clean and holy and think of Christ all day,
To recive revelation to heed what Christ says,

To line-up our will with Christ's will,
To be thankful and on our faith build,
We don't go to hang-out with friends,
Or to preform.. but endure to the end!!

Build up our testimony and prepare for the week,
To read our scriptures and answers to seek!
Yes this is why we go every week!
To become like Christ humble and meek.

Study, Share, Pondering.
Scripture reading, quietly,
Understand and write down notes,
Music calming, faith and hope.

Truth, seek ponder & pray,
Holiness upon this day,
Even if outside its gray
The sun is shining hooray!

I'm glad to be a Latter Day Saint!
We know the truth after all,
We love each other all the same
Shining. Standing tall.
