Do your duty,
Keep doing your best,
Don't be lazy,
Don't settle for less.
Keep working hard,
Don't stop for one thing.
Follow the rules,
Or regret will sting
Do after don't.
And law after law.
Warning, beware,
Do not make one flaw.
What is all this?
The expectation
Is so unreal!
Just regulation!
It seems boring,
To live in this way.
Of working hard?
Where's the pay?
But wait a sec,
I need to step out
Of the box
Of pure selfish doubt.
Where is the faith?
Where is the hope?
I need to trust
Instead of mope.
I will go try
To do what is right.
Gods promises
I trust will bring light.
As I show love
Through obedience,
I find out that work
Actually makes sense!
Living the way
The Lord wants me to
Brings fulfillment
In all that I do.
The true gospel,
If lived righteously,
Brings peace and joy.
It is heavens key.

Remember
I fold my arms, I bow my head,
Remembering as the prayer is said.
I think of the atoning one,
Who gave His life, out Father's Son.
The bread is passed, I remember when,
With very little, five thousand were fed!
And then with children on His knee,
I think of Him now blessing me.
A prayer is said once again,
And I can picture His mothers head,
Bowing down with tearful eyes,
Saying "Father, through Thee I will arise."
The water now I drink each drop,
The living waters will never stop,
And if I choose to follow Him,
I can conquer any sin.
I fold my arms, I bow my head,
Remembering this prayer in my head,
"I will watch, for the day you come,"
Thank you for all Thou hast done."
Remembering as the prayer is said.
I think of the atoning one,
Who gave His life, out Father's Son.
The bread is passed, I remember when,
With very little, five thousand were fed!

Thank you for all Thou hast done."

The Search
A bunch of little people
All going around,
Wanting,wishing, hoping,
That something will be found.
Reaching high, and reaching low,
Grasping at the air.
Never really reaching
The thing they think is there.
Some think that they will find it
In the way they dress.
They do so many things
To look good and impress.
Some think that they will find it
In the way they talk.
They back bite and gossip,
They ridicule and mock.
Some think that they will find it
Just in selfish thoughts.
Worried always about
All they haven't got.
These bunch of little people
All go their own ways,
Wanting other people
To give them what they crave.
They don't seem to realize
That others are stuck
Inside their own bubble
Of sad narcissistic muck.
Oh people, look around you!
You don't need to look
In all of the wrong places
In sinful shelves and nooks.
To find what you wish for,
You just have to climb
Right out of your bubble
Of all self absorbed time,
You must GIVE and not worry
About what you get
Just serve and love others
And forgive and forget.
You don't need to keep stressing,
You don't need to find
That something already
Is engrained deep inside.
It is found when your selfless
It's found when you love
It's found when your living
For the One up above.

In the Autumn Twilight
Walking, and thinking
In the autumn twilight,
While through the soft clouds
The moon shines so bright.
Breathing the crisp air,
I stop and just listen
As the fading glow,
Of the streets glisten.
The breeze rushes past
Rustling all of the trees.
I hear the nice crunch
As I step on leaves.
Looking at the sky,
I see the star filled night.
Glowing, gleaming, bright
Like pinpricks of light
The moon seems to tell
All the starts seem to sing.
The trees seem to be
Softly whispering.
They all seem to try
To show and remind me
Of something beyond
Somewhere, somebody.
Creation itself
Emulates the love
Of The creator
Who lives up above.
It all seems as though
Nature puts and resets
Me back to focus
To see, grasp, and get.
To see clear again
And gladly recognize
All the joy within
Blessings in disguise.
In the autumn twilight,

Rap
I just found this poem in our drafts, I'm guessing it was written by Pack. :P Enjoy!
I have some friends,
They have ODDS and ends,
And they like to eat,
And they should have more sleep.
One day we all went to camp,
Our shoes got very damp,
John remembered to bring his pants,
When he went to the dance. (Good thing too)
So then we all had fun,
And made a lot of puns,
The food was amazing,
As we went star gazing.
We didn't go to bed,
So we were all mostly dead,
Then Jordan was wed,
To his hair that is red.
Don't ask me why,
I am feeling so high,
And before you die,
I'll say good bye
I have some friends,
They have ODDS and ends,
And they like to eat,
And they should have more sleep.
One day we all went to camp,
Our shoes got very damp,
John remembered to bring his pants,
When he went to the dance. (Good thing too)
So then we all had fun,
And made a lot of puns,
The food was amazing,
As we went star gazing.
We didn't go to bed,
So we were all mostly dead,
Then Jordan was wed,
To his hair that is red.
Don't ask me why,
I am feeling so high,
And before you die,
I'll say good bye
Gone
When I past you in the street,
It's you I don't recognize,
When I wave and say hello,
It feels like your like desensitized.
And I miss the old you,
The friend I used to know,
The way you used to be,
And it just goes to show,
That people change for good,
But they also change for bad,
And I miss the old you,
I wish you'd come back.
I hardly ever see you now,
The way you act is different,
I nod and smile-you walk right by,
It's true, you seem so distant.
I watch the way to talk to others,
Showing off your new stuff,
I miss the friend I used to know,
Who always had enough.
Where did you go,
I wish you'd see,
The person that
You used to be!
I miss you lots,
It hurts so much,
You left so fast,
Left me in the dust.
And now I don't know who you are,
And I fear you might not come back,
I don't know what happened or changed,
What got you off this track?
So I say goodbye to the old you,
To the one who is now gone,
Who I thought wouldn't leave me now,
To you I say....So long.
