How life works

I based this poem after the quote: "Everyone wants happiness, no one wants pain, but you can't have a rainbow without a little rain."

Everyone wants happiness,
No one wants pain,
But you can't have a rainbow,
Without a little rain.

Everyone wants peace,
No one wants war,
But a bird must fall a time or two,
Before it learns to soar.

Everyone wants friendship,
No one wants to be alone,
But you can't see the ripple,
Until the rock has been thrown.

Everyone wants knowledge,
No one wants work,
But you will never get things done,
If you're worried about what you deserve.

Everyone wants blessings,
No one wants trials,
But you won't go anywhere,
Without moving a few miles.

Everyone wants love,
No one really wants hate,
So let us be the first to love,
Don't sit around and wait.
