Vanguard Mentors

Sometimes youth get crazy,
Sometimes we are tired,
Sometimes we're well behaved,
Sometimes we inspire.

We have our ups and our downs,
We try our best to live each day,
As righteous children of our Father,
By how we act, and what we say.

We are capable of lots,
And for a lucky few,
We have amazing mentors,
Yes, I'm talking about you.

In Vanguard this year we have been blessed,
By the very very best,
The ones who you know, will always care,
The ones who will always be right there.

They have taught us to be leaders,
They have taught us to have might,
They have taught us to stand in holy places,
Every day and every night.

They have taught us about the past,
And how from, it we may learn,
They have taught us right and wrong,
And how, the two, we may discern.

They have taught us about science,
And all about our earth
And the power of our Heavenly King,
And all His mighty works.

They have taught us about art,
And our creativity,
And how to be our true, true, self's
Through all eternity.

Never Fading Friendship

Memories and happiness
Joy and hope and love
Goodness, truth, light and faith.
Conduits of above.

Smiles, hugs, and comfort sweet,
Special spirits from on high
Angels sent to cheer and lift
And help you reach the sky.

Sorrow sadness, greif and pain
Won't stir their strong beliefs
And though distance might remain
They choose to shun the greif.

Gone or close, near or far
It doesn't really matter
The memories and truths live on
They're imprinted on forever.

All these things and much much more
Do describe my friends
My love for them, where er they are
Will never, ever end.

People come and people go,
But memories are made
And friendships found, stick in our hearts
And never ever fade.

One word can change a thought
One prayer can find the answers
That you've deeply sought.

One smile can change a feeling
One tear can ripple on
One leap of faith can alter
Though it seems all hope is gone.

One step can change your future
One hand can set you free
One friend can help your focus
Shift to be who you can be.

One light can drive out darkness
One song can put out fear
One trial can be all it takes
To notice God is near.

One God made all creation
One Lord did die and rise
One Spirit testifies to all
The truthfulness of Christ.

One little boy or girl
Can help our world be righted
Let's forge the swords of truth
For the Lamp is Lighted.

A Princess is.....

A princess is one who cares,
A princess is one who shares,
A princess is one who is neat,
A princess is one who is sweet.
 
A princess is full of Grace,
A princess brings beauty to any place,
A princess is one who comforts all,
A princesses help, you can forever call.

A princesses talents will never end,
A princess is, with everyone a friend.
A princess serves without complaint,
A princess has a righteous taste

A princess has self respect,
A princess deserves much more then neglect
A princess is modest in every way,
By her actions, her dress and what she'll say.

A princess who is modest in dress,
Deserves the very, very best,
So she will wait for the prince whose right,
Who treats her like a princess both day and night.











A prince should be all the things,
That his future princess needs.
He should be ready, clean and worthy,
To be sealed to her for all eternity.
