Sing, sing, sing!

I know a lot of you have heard this :D It is actually a song, but songs can be read as poems-right? I hope you enjoy it!!

There's a song in this world,
Listen now and you'll hear,
A song that's being sung,
Full of smiles and tears!

For we all have a part to play,
So bring bring bring!
Bring everyone to do their part,
Let's sing, sing, sing, sing!

There are many different lines,
Being sung by others,
Try to find your part,
Next to sisters and brothers.

For we all have a part to play,
So bring bring bring!
Bring everyone to do their part,
Let's sing, sing, sing, sing!

Remember no one is perfect,
We might mess up some times,
Repent and forget get back in tune,
And keep on singing your lines.

Everybody now! Sing it out loud!
Your part is a important,
As everyone else,
So open up! Sing it now!!
Don't forget to sing sing sing!
While your at it, bring bring bring,
Everyone! To sing! Sing! Sing!.

For we all have a part to play,
So bring bring bring!
Bring everyone to do their part,
Let's sing, sing, sing, sing!

Some sing high,
And some sing low,
It doesn't really matter,
Just sing as you go!

For we all have a part to play,
So bring bring bring!
Bring everyone to do their part,
Let's sing, sing, sing, sing!

Don't let the good parts
Leave your song,
Let the spirit guide,
And sing along!

For we all have a part to play,
So bring bring bring!
Bring everyone to do their part,
Let's sing, sing, sing, sing!

Remember

I fold my arms, I bow my head,
Remembering as the prayer is said.
I think of the atoning one,
Who gave His life, out Father's Son.

The bread is passed, I remember when,
With very little, five thousand were fed!
And then with children on His knee,
I think of Him now blessing me.

A prayer is said once again,
And I can picture His mothers head,
Bowing down with tearful eyes,
Saying "Father, through Thee I will arise."

The water now I drink each drop,
The living waters will never stop,
And if I choose to follow Him,
I can conquer any sin.

I fold my arms, I bow my head,
Remembering this prayer in my head,
"I will watch, for the day you come,"
Thank you for all Thou hast done."

Gone

When I past you in the street,
It's you I don't recognize,
When I wave and say hello,
It feels like your like desensitized.

And I miss the old you,
The friend I used to know,
The way you used to be,
And it just goes to show,

That people change for good,
But they also change for bad,
And I miss the old you,
I wish you'd come back.

I hardly ever see you now,
The way you act is different,
I nod and smile-you walk right by,
It's true, you seem so distant.

I watch the way to talk to others,
Showing off your new stuff,
I miss the friend I used to know,
Who always had enough.

Where did you go,
I wish you'd see,
The person that
You used to be!
I miss you lots,
It hurts so much,
You left so fast,
Left me in the dust.

And now I don't know who you are,
And I fear you might not come back,
I don't know what happened or changed,
What got you off this track?

So I say goodbye to the old you,
To the one who is now gone,
Who I thought wouldn't leave me now,
To you I say....So long.

Joy vs Sorrow

Sorrows are to forget,
Joys are to remember,
Let go of your sorrows,
Hold on to your joys forever.

Write each and every joy down,
Keep track of them with smiles,
Remember memories and love,
It will be worth your while.

Although its good to remember joys,
Sorrows are important too,
Without the sadness in our lives,
We could not balance what we do!

So let us count our sorrows,
But let us throw them right away,
We don't need to hold on to them,
Or remember sad things that happened that day.

But hold on to your joys!
Keep the balance there!
And by thinking of sorrows,
The more you recognize joys here.

Joy and Sorrow

Catch the moment, catch the dream.

Hey everyone! I was goin through my phone and I found a few poems that I thought I should post. My last few posts have been the ones I found!

We're only here for a short while,
There isn't time for everything,
Close your eyes and feel the light,
Catch the moment, catch the dream.

Friends are there to help you fly
Close your eyes and spread your wings,
No one can ever do it for you,
Catch the moment, catch the dream.

People come as inspiration,
To give your eye that special gleam,
Listen to the voice so still,
Catch the moment, catch the dream.

Find your inner hope and mission,
It might be harder then it seems,
But with Gods help you can do it,
Catch the moment, catch the dream.

Time flys by, don't miss the day,
Thoughts come in, what do they mean?
True friends lead you on your journey,
Catch the moment, catch the dream.

Keep your standards flying tall,
Keep your smile to a beam,
Stand in only holy places,
Catch the moment, catch the dream.

Happy birthday, for a friend :)

A friend like me,
Needs a friend like you,
For the things we see,
And the things we do.
We'll work together,
And we'll understand,
That we, forever,
Can always stand :)

Thank you for everything,
That you inspire,
From poetry to camping,
Sitting 'round the fire.
From piano to plays,
And eating our dinner,
And all the birthdays,
We are the winners!

You show me all,
The possibilities,
That I could learn from,
And fulfill my dreams.
Your the best,
That I could ask for,
I love you lots,
I'd never want more.

Never forget,
Who you are,
You are special,
You are a star.
So thanks again,
And now I'll say,
Have a very,
Happy birthday!

Failing Failure

What is my worst fear?
Can I tell you my friend?
Its failing the part,
That I should have been.

It failing to answer,
The only right question,
Its failing obedience,
Or another lesson.

Have you ever felt,
Unsure in suspense,
Questioning many
Decisions and friends?

Have you ever questioned,
Which thing should come next,
Which road to take,
Whats 'round that bend...
I'm spinning in circles,
I'm out of control,
I'm getting confused,
In the worlds big roll.

In life's giant menu,
What should I pick?
What is the best for me
What won't I regret...

I'm lost and lonely,
Where did everyone go?
Which direction is best?
Does anyone know...

This feeling of empty,
Is so hard to place,
Christ, our Older Brother,
The only escape.
Some might not feel worthy,
To pray for God's help,
But you'll always be welcome,
Repent for heavens wealth.

Go quickly now,
Towards the light,
Christ's open arms,
Are now in sight.
He loves you,
An so do others,
Family waiting,
Your sisters and brothers.

It's worth it, hold on!
Don't give up, they shout,
They love you a lot,
And know what its about.

Hugs and kisses,
Jubilation and more,
Those are the things,
That God has in store.

Life isn't easy,
Not even close,
But we can find the way,
Through the Holy Ghost!

We are all capable,
Of many many things,
Just smile, be ready,
To fly, spread your wings!

He comforts and blesses,
His hands will restore,
He loves all His children,
He wants for them more!

So when the dark gets you,
And you feel some bland,
Don't be so unsure,
Reach out-take His hand

Fall time!

Twisting, turning, telling how,
Just exactly it fell down,
Orange, brown but never green,
What a sight, I've never seen

Flitting, fluttering, falling down,
Not exactly touching ground.
Crunching, crackling crushed by feet,
Isn't fall time such a treat.

Rolling, reaching, resting now,
Piling leaves upon the ground,
Colored piles at my feet,
Apple cider is my drink!

Standing tall or sitting short,
Picking pumpkins, what a sport!
Try to find the bestest one,
Even if it weighs a ton!

Looking, listening, we're not lost!
Where's the map and whose the boss?
Going in circles, there's the end!
Come one come all! Come family and friend!

Smiling, sliding, standing strait,
Right beside the garden gate,
Wish he had a brain or two,
Scare-crow friends are welcome too.

Climbing, cautious, carefully!
Sitting high on hay-stacked seats,
Singing songs along the way,
Hayride smiles to end the day.

Memories!

People come and go,
As we learn from them each day,
And something I have learned is that,
True friends will always stay!

When we need them,
They will be there,
They always show,
How much they care.
They teach us truth,
And remember things,
That we did together,
And always remember,
The memories.

Giving gifts and learning,
Smile cause we're free
Showing of our love,
For my friends and friends to be.

Remembering the past,
Looking forward for things to come,
Giving hope and encouragement,
For a job that's been well done.

When we need them,
The will be there!
They always show...
How much they care.
They teach us truth and,
Remember things,
That we did together,
We'll always remember,
The memories.

Who knows just what will happen,
When our ways will finally part,
They may not be right next to me,
But they'll stay here in my heart!

So thank you my friend,
For all we have been through,
For your shining example,
I will always remember you.

When you need me,
I will be there!
I'll try to show...
How much I care.
You teach me truth and,
We'll remember things,
That we did together,
And we'll always remember,
The memories.

Thank you for all,
The memories,
The memories,
Our memories!!!!

What makes a ripple?

What makes the ripple,
Circle out and never stop?
What makes the sunshine,
Glitter off a water drop?

What makes the water,
So sparkling, crystal clear,
What makes the pond,
So still, not a tear.

What makes the river,
Never stop it's moving?
What makes the ocean,
So big and fascinating?

What makes the rain,
So heavy, yet so light,
What makes the rainbow,
That can't be seen at night?

What are like the ripples,
In our life's that don't quite flow,
What do we drop in the world,
That goes and goes and goes?

What happens when we drop,
An unkind word or deed,
What happens if we change,
Kindness to our simple creed?

What if we inspired,
Good things by our ripples,
And they spread out so quickly,
In doubles or in triples.

Then the world would be sent,
Good things in lots of ways,
We would love all those around,
And show it each and every day.

God doesn't make mistakes

We are all here for a reason,
We were all meant to be,
We all have a mission,
And a certain way we see.
We were all meant for power,
We were all meant to choose,
We all need a Savior,
So repentance we can use.

But God, always has a plan,
We may not be perfect but He did create,
Each one of us, and don't forget,
That God, doesn't make mistakes.

We learn from hardships and trials,
We grow from heartache and sin,
We help each other get closer to Christ,
This battle we will win.
We all need a push sometimes,
A nudge in the right direction,
We all need a little laugh,
To lighten up the situation.

But God, always has a plan,
We may not be perfect but He did create,
Each one of us, and don't forget,
That God, doesn't make mistakes.

We each have a life to lead,
But each one is different,
We each have some things we need,
Have faith and be confident,
There's times where we're needed
There's talents we can use,
There's light we can bring,
We just have to choose!

But God, always has a plan,
We may not be perfect but He did create,
Each one of us, and don't forget,
That God, doesn't make mistakes.

We each have felt down hearted,
We might feel like a failure,
Or try to keep things up,
Then wish that we did better.
One person can't do everything,
So please, please don't try,
Keep it sweet and simple,
Wipe that tear from your eye!

But God, always has a plan,
We may not be perfect but He did create,
Each one of us, and don't forget,
That God, doesn't make mistakes.

We are all enlisted!

  1. We are all enlisted,
For our truth and the right!
And so very Happy are we!

    Soldiers in the army,
    For our future is bright!
And so very happy are we!

    Fighting as an army,
With our friends at our side!
Come friends, come join the ranks!
  2. We are waiting now for soldiers,
    By the rules to abide,
Come friends, come join the ranks,

    Listen! Captain calls today;
    Quickly, make, no delay!
As together we prepare for battle,

    Fight for our Savior;
    Come, come away!
As together, we prepare for battle!
  3. Fighting as the leaders,
    And the world is our foe;
We shall win ore evil by and by.

    Glad to volenteer,
Let us give it a go!
We shall win ore evil by and by.

    Dangers may gather
    We'll never fear,
Joining hands and marching on to victory!

    Jesus, our Leader,
    He is ever near.
Joining hands and marching on to victory!

    Christ will protect us,
    Give up a cheer!
We're joyfully, marching to our home.

    Ready for the battle,
We will never shed a tear!
We're joyfully, marching to our home.

You were born to shine

When the world gets you in the downs,
And darkness comes and surrounds,
And you can't stop the frown,
Don't give up hope,

Don't give up hope,
Everything will turn out fine,
You are a star,
And you were born to shine.

When it seems the sky is gray,
And you don't know what to say,
And the night is dark, so is the day,
Don't put out your light

Don't put out your light,
Everything will turn out fine,
You are a star,
And you were born to shine.

When papers keep piling up,
And you want to yell "enough!"
And you are losing all your stuff,
Don't let it get you down,

Don't let it get you down
Everything will turn out fine,
You are a star,
And you were born to shine.

When the clock strikes two,
And no one is there for you,
And nothing is brand new,
Don't stop believing,

Don't stop believing,
Everything will turn out fine,
You are a star,
And you were born to shine.

When you look up at the sky,
And you know you cannot lie,
You'll feel it by and by,
You know who you are.

You know who you are,
Everything will turn out fine,
You are a star,
And you were born to shine.

Going crazy

Hey guys! So we were pretty tired yesterday and wrote some poetry for you to enjoy!

John goes to the pond
At the pond he was fond
Of a duck named Sond
Who had her own wand

Megan came to the pond
And got mad at John for being fond
At the duck named Sond
Who had her own wand

Jordan came to the pond
And laughed at John for being fond
At the duck named Sond
Who had her own wand

And then Jordan died
And nobody cried
Because the duck lied
About being high

Isaiah came to the pond
And laughed ‘cause Jordan died
‘Cause Jordan became fond
Of Sond because she lied

Then John and Megan left
Isaiah put Jordan on a shelf
And Sond made friends with an elf
Then Jordan laughed at himself

The elf was a snake. Duh.
Who ate a cake. bub
With a rake. No
That’s so fake. Yo!

This poem’s not over
Jordan ate a rover
In a field of clovers
In a city called Dover

John came back
To have a snack
With the Pack
And Megan liked that

The duck named Sond
Found another duck pond
With a duck named Bill
Who had a short will

Then Kena showed up
When the sun came up
And she went up
And this line ends with “up”

Then she ate a cup
And she ate a pup
And then she said “Yup”
And then “Whats up”

This poem’s almost over
Not really though, ‘cause the rover
Drove into a clover
In a city named Dover

Jordan came back
To have a snack
With the Pack
And Megan liked that

Then John went back
To the pond in black
With a beard and a sack
And kicked Jordan’s back

Jordan fell into the pond
With a duck named Sond
And a duck named Bill
Who had a short will

Then Jordan died again
And no one cried again
‘Cause Sond lied again
And Bill got high again

Okay, lets end this poem
With some cake
Then see a Samoan
With a rake

NEXT!

I woke up on Monday
After it was Sunday
I was not ill
I took no pill

I got in the car
And rode on the tar
To a pretty girls camp
Without my lamp

The first day there was a dance
I saw a lot of ants
I had some fun
And saw the Sun

I went to the dance
There were lots of ants
I “wore” some pants
When I went to the dance

We all were glad,
Isaiah was rad
John was mad
Megan was sad

NEXT!

We had a meeting today,
About having a say,
In our Vanguard group
We had no soup

We all made a loop
After talking about love soup
So let’s sing a song
About a Chinese gong

Megan is a girl
Her boyfriends name is earl
He has a pet curl
That came off of a pearl (named curl)

We went on a trek
And met a guy named beck
We saw lots of ants
On john’s pants

Lets play a game
And go insane
John is a boy
And loves soy

Jda;lksjdf;lakjsd;f
The end

NEXT!

Megan has a boyfriend
His name is not Jordan
His name is Earl
His hair’s in a curl

John is in love
He gave her a dove
She gave him a shove
It was all for love

What’s her name?
I can’t tell you
It will bring me fame,
But I can’t smell a shoe

The end!

Who is pulling the handcart?

The pioneers of old,
Put their faith in God,
They left the land they knew,
To travel out abroad.

Uncertain of their future,
They pulled their handcarts all,
Whenever they got stuck or trapped,
Then to their knees they'd fall.

With pleading eyes they'd turn,
As they prayed within their hearts,
Asking the question,
Who is pulling the handcart?

Tears would come as they realized,
Angelic help was with them,
It was help from our God above,
That He would prove 'here I am'

And as I walked beside my friends,
And the people that I love,
Reenacting history,
With help from up above.

I witnessed and I felt,
A small part of their pain,
For in times of need and struggle,
And in the mist of clouds and rain.

I would turn around to see,
Asking within my heart,
With searching, moist eyes,
Who is pulling the hand cart?

I would see both kinds of angels,
In the faces of my friends,
Or I would not see anything at all,
Knowing Christ would stay there to the end.

As I go throughout my life,
With trials and hard times
I often fall down in grief,
With tears filling up my eyes,

I wonder if this hurt,
Will ever disappear,
And when will help come?
In a week or in a year?

Then I feel my burdens lightened,
And crying, withing my heart,
Once again I ask the question,
Who is pulling the handcart?

A Summer Poem

Summer is here! Hooray, hooray!
More time we have to sing and play,
To write and act and laugh and talk,
And go to the park and take long walks.

The air is warm, the sun is bright,
The days are longer than the night.
Hang out with friends, lay on the grass,
Running free and running fast.

Making lovely memories,
Camps, letters, accessories,
Inside jokes and lots of fun,
Until the setting of the summer sun.

Snacks and picnics, pictures too.
All so I can remember you,
Comfortably we talk and smile,
Making moments, last a little while.

Outside, our hot dogs are grillin,
In the pool we're all just chillin,
Wearing shorts and bright flip-flops,
Parties will hopefully never stop.

Books, free time, summer jobs,
New looks, cutting hair to a bob,
Sunglasses and taking long naps,
Under the trees in the hammock,

Summer activities now await us,
Of them, I'm sure I won't get enough,
Outside under the sky so blue.
I can't wait to share them with you.
